The research subjects were junior college students with an average age of 19〜20 years. The findings of this research were that using student created material was more successful in maintaining the students' concentration than professionally created 3^ party material. Additional benefits such as positive feedback and increased motivation were also evident., Class participation levels and the effectiveness of classroom materials are hot topics in Japan's educational system, particularly in EFL.
